Inter set to appoint Chivu as head coach, according to club president - Soccer News
Briefly

Inter Milan's president Giuseppe Marotta announced that Cristian Chivu will succeed Simone Inzaghi as head coach. Inzaghi left the club after four years, notably after their loss in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. Initially, Cesc Fabregas was considered a top candidate, but he declined Inter’s overtures. Chivu, a former Inter player, has signed a two-year contract, despite a short and challenging tenure at Parma where he secured only three wins. He will make his debut against Monterrey in the Club World Cup.
To win, money alone is not enough; expertise, planning, experience, and many other qualities are needed. All these qualities are what we believe to have, for example, in the case of Chivu.
Chivu has reportedly signed a two-year contract through to June 2027 with Inter after leaving Parma. He managed just three wins at Parma, marking a 23.1% win rate.
