On March 20, 2016, a tragic accident in Buncrana, Co Donegal, resulted in the deaths of Sean McGrotty, his two sons, their grandmother, and a family friend. Four-month-old Rioghnach-Ann McGrotty survived after her father passed her to passerby Davitt Walsh. On the tenth anniversary of the tragedy, over 1,500 people gathered to remember the victims. Louise James, who lost several family members, expressed gratitude for the support and emphasized the importance of honoring their memory positively.
