A man named Charlie Prodromou, 63, was fatally injured following an assault outside the Watch House pub in Lewisham on March 1. He was promptly taken to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. Paul Tallant, a 42-year-old resident of Eltham, was arrested and has been charged with murder. He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court and is scheduled to attend court again at the Old Bailey. The incident followed a disturbance at the pub, raising questions about violence in nightlife settings.
Police were called at 20:39hrs on Saturday, 1 March to reports of an assault in Lewisham High Street. Officers responded with paramedics and found a 63-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
It's believed Mr Prodromou was assaulted following a disturbance at The Watch House pub. A 42-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.
