Blue Jays Notes: Springer, Bassitt, Yesavage
"MRI showed that he's hour-to-hour, day-to-day,"
"so just see how he kind of navigates the next couple hours."
The World Series continues with Game 4 after an 18-inning marathon that ended with the Dodgers winning 6-5. George Springer is not in Toronto's starting lineup after leaving the previous game with right-side discomfort and an MRI indicated an hour-to-hour, day-to-day outlook. Bo Bichette will serve as DH and bat third in Springer's absence while Springer remains on the roster and could play a diminished role. Springer batted .309/.399/.560 with a 166 wRC+ in 140 games in 2025, recorded a career-high 46.7% hard-hit rate, and produced 5.2 fWAR. Chris Bassitt is available out of the bullpen and, if used, would pitch on consecutive days for the first time in his career; all relievers are available for tonight's game.
