Miami Dade County's Metromover is adjusting its operating hours starting June 1, reducing daily service from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. instead of its usual midnight closing. This change aims to facilitate technical improvements outlined in the Metromover Upgrade Project initiated in 2022. The upgrades will enhance service frequency and prepare the system for future expansions. The Metromover is a crucial, free public transit option that connects key areas, including downtown Miami and Brickell, and has been operational for almost four decades.
The train, which normally runs daily from 5 a.m. till midnight, will begin service at 5:30 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. starting June 1 "until further notice."
