Luciano Frattolin, father of 9-year-old Melina, was arrested and charged with her second-degree murder after her body was found in Ticonderoga, New York. He initially reported her missing while traveling with her during a weekend custody arrangement. Following a multiagency search, police found Melina's body in shallow water. Previous inconsistencies in Frattolin's story and a bogus kidnapping report raised suspicions. Melina had been in good health shortly before her disappearance, and after contacting her mother, investigators believe she was murdered shortly after that call.
