Public Order Units were later deployed, who secured the area and helped the Dublin Fire Brigade to attend the scene safely. While at the scene, gardaí received a report of the discharge of a firework into a private residence shortly after 6.30pm."
"A woman, aged in her 30s, suffered serious injuries in the incident, which were believed to be non-life-threatening. She was initially treated at the scene by Dublin Fire Brigade personnel before being transported to St James's Hospital for treatment. Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them. Anyone in the area of Cashel Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12, between 5.45pm and 6.45pm on Friday, who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, is asked to make this footage available to gardaí."
