Ryan Craig, aged 25, struck and dragged Dillon Gilligan, a nephew of convicted drug dealer John Gilligan, with his van and left him by the roadside. The victim was dragged for up to 30 feet and suffered a fractured skull and pelvis. The incident was described during Craig's sentencing hearing at the Central Criminal Court. Long-standing animosity between Craig and Dillon Gilligan, arising from an ongoing feud in the Ronanstown area of Dublin, was presented as context for the attack. Legal consequences are being determined at sentencing.
