Point Seven brings local elevated seafood to menu to Midtown | amNewYork
Briefly

Point Seven, opened in September 2023 in Midtown, is a seafood restaurant that combines local and sustainable ingredients under the guidance of chef Franklin Becker. Named after the ocean's coverage of the Earth, the restaurant's design reflects eco-conscious principles with reclaimed materials. It features three dining experiences: a casual bar on the first floor, a fine dining ambiance on the second, and a luxurious omakase prepared by Chef Robby Cook. Becker emphasizes the flexibility in dining moods, aiming to provide various options for all guests with a focus on globally inspired seafood dishes.
We named it Point Seven because 70% of the Earth is actually covered by water. I wanted this approach to seafood that was global, but I wanted to use local, sustainable ingredients wherever humanly possible, said Becker.
I feel as though when people are dining, sometimes they're in the mood for a fine dining experience and sometimes they're in the mood for a more casual experience.
The omakase experience is a celebration of Japanese ingredients and sensibility. It's more intimate and it's just luxury at its finest with 17 courses.
Point Seven offers three different dining experiences, catering to different diners' needs, from casual to fine dining, including a luxurious omakase.
