1 Hotel, known for its luxury and sustainable practices, debuted in London in 2023, but its roots in New York trace back to the first location opened in 2015 by Central Park. The hotel's design showcases reclaimed and locally-sourced materials, evoking an eco-conscious atmosphere. Guests can enjoy spacious, well-furnished rooms with modern amenities while appreciating the hotel’s commitment to sustainability through features like recycled materials, motion-sensor lighting, and energy-efficient installations. With a tranquil ambiance amidst bustling Manhattan, it’s an ideal retreat for both relaxation and exploration.
Our first stay at a 1 Hotel was at the Brooklyn Bridge property back in 2022, which set a high bar with its breathtaking views and eco-credentials.
Sustainability is front and centre of the design, featuring reclaimed wood, locally-sourced stone, and living green walls throughout the public spaces.
In the City Lounge King room, we enjoyed a bit more space, highlighted by a built-in window seat to admire the Midtown skyline over morning coffee.
