A phone company launched by Donald Trump’s family business is investigating a potential security flaw on its website. The issue appears to have exposed personal details of an estimated 27,000 people who sought to buy a gold-coloured smartphone. Full names, addresses, and phone numbers from preorder forms appeared to be exposed. The company said it has not identified evidence that its systems, infrastructure, or network were directly compromised, and the investigation remains ongoing. The company stated the incident does not appear to involve payment card information, banking information, Social Security numbers, call records, text messages, or other highly sensitive financial data. Impacted information appears limited to customer details including names, email addresses, mailing addresses, order identifiers, and mobile phone numbers. Additional safeguards and monitoring measures were added, and notification obligations are being evaluated. Customers were advised to watch for suspicious emails, calls, or texts and that the company will not request payment information, passwords, or other sensitive data through unsolicited communications.
