Before VRM, she was director of REO sales operations at Freddie Mac and earned Freddie Mac's Premier Achievement Award multiple times. She held a BA from Mills College, an MBA and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Walden University. She led church financial literacy sessions for women and was remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and boss.
