Daniel Pistor has been appointed chief of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS), starting June 22, having previously served as deputy chief. With over 22 years of experience, Pistor has worked in various roles, increasing community connection and trust. His career began with the Honolulu Police Department, where he dealt with drug trafficking cases. As chief, he emphasizes accountability and transparency in public safety efforts while fostering community relationships through multiple programs and initiatives. Pistor aims to guide the department into a new chapter focused on operational efficiency and community safety.
