It features a database of more than 36,000 female players and another 5,000 staff, with 14 playable leagues across 11 nations and three continents. The company behind it, Sports Interactive, already share their extensive data on more than 700,000 male players with real-life clubs who have used it as a scouting tool for more than a decade."
"There were a lot of challenges around adding the women's game to FM. We've had our scouting set-up for 30-plus years in men's football but we had to start from scratch on the women's side, and we wanted to ensure that there were women's football experts involved. In the end, an army of people from the women's game helped us, who wanted us to ensure that women's football was properly represented."
FM26 introduces full management of women's teams alongside men's for the first time, featuring over 36,000 female players and 5,000 staff across 14 playable leagues in 11 nations on three continents. Sports Interactive already supplies extensive male-player data to clubs and has begun offering its women's data collected since 2021. Data scarcity and inconsistency posed major challenges. The expanded dataset aims to increase visibility of the women's game and provide a scouting resource to identify emerging talent.
