Monster: The Ed Gein Story gets bloody and brutal trailer starring Addison Rae
"The first, bloody and brutal trailer has just landed, and it features Hunnam going full-frontal for a twisted scene involving Gein's mother Augusta ( Lady Bird star Laurie Metcalf), and "Diet Pepsi" singer Addison Rae as Evelyn, a babysitter and one of Gein's suspected victims. "Eddie, you're a mess. Only a mother could love you," Augusta says as the trailer opens, as a haunting version of Pet Shop Boys' "It's A Sin" plays."
"As the trailer continues, Ed Gein's crimes only get more horrifying, as he asks a seemingly deceased woman "Is this OK?" while desecrating her body. Hunnam then appears in women's clothing and wearing a skin mask made of human flesh, as it becomes clear that Gein has both taken bodies from graves, and gathered his own collection of bodies through murder. Later scenes show Gein's house of horrors full of various items made of skin."
Monster: The Ed Gein Story is an eight-part Netflix series that portrays Ed Gein, the 'Butcher of Plainfield', who robbed graves and murdered victims in rural Wisconsin. Charlie Hunnam plays Ed Gein, Laurie Metcalf plays his mother Augusta, Addison Rae appears as Evelyn, and Tom Hollander portrays Alfred Hitchcock. The released trailer contains graphic imagery: Hunnam nude in a full-frontal scene, desecration of bodies, Hunnam wearing women's clothing and a human skin mask, and a house filled with items made of skin. The Gein case inspired the novel Psycho and the Hitchcock film; Gein died in a mental health institute in 1984.
