A 22-year-old, Safi Dawood, has been charged with the murder of 49-year-old Wayne Broadhurst after an alleged stabbing in Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge. Broadhurst, a local binman walking his dog, died at the scene from stab wounds. Dawood faces one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court. The Home Office confirmed Dawood entered the UK in a lorry in 2020, claimed asylum, and was granted it in 2022. Dawood did not know Broadhurst but was known to two other alleged victims. He required hospital treatment after suffering a medical episode and was later returned to police custody. Around 100 locals gathered for a silent tribute, laying flowers and lighting candles near the scene.
