Off-duty firefighter praised for quick thinking that saved children in bus crash

An off-duty firefighter traveling behind a Somerset school coach intervened when the coach flipped, saving the lives of many children. The 70-seater coach was carrying pupils from Minehead Middle School, aged nine and ten, when it crashed on the A936 near Wheddon Cross. Tragically, one child died at the scene, while 21 others were injured, including two who required airlifting to the hospital for serious injuries.
