Cambridgeshire police issued a separate statement, saying they were called at 19:39 GMT after reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train. Armed officers attended and the train was stopped at Huntingdon, where two men were arrested. A number of people have been taken to hospital, the police said. The East of England Ambulance Service said it mobilised a large-scale response to Huntingdon Railway Station, which included numerous ambulances and critical care teams, including three air ambulances.
A one-year-old child has died following a hazardous materials incident at a flat in east London, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) has said. Fire crews were called to a property in Barking Road, Upton Park, in Newham, after two adults and two children attended hospital complaining about a smell of chemicals in a flat. The one-year-old child later died in hospital while receiving treatment. Around 12 people were evacuated from surrounding properties as a precaution as crews responded, LFB said.
Two people are dead after a Boeing 747 cargo plane landing at Hong Kong International Airport veered off the runway and into the sea on Monday. According to a statement from Hong Kong's civil aviation department, the incident happened at around 3:50 a.m. local time. The department said the flight, which was arriving from Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport, had "deviated from the North Runway after landing and ditched into the sea."
Emergency services including local gardaí and fire brigades from Kilkenny city and Thomastown were called to the scene of the crash involving a van and horses on the slip road at Junction 8 on the M9 Southbound at Kilkenny city. The crash occurred at approximately 6am this morning. The occupants of the van did not sustain any injuries, but a number of horses were killed when they were struck by the vehicle.

An explosion and fire rocked a refinery in El Segundo on Thursday night, causing massive balls of flames that could be seen for miles. The cause of the incident was unclear, and officials have not provided any details. The orange flames and plumes of smoke were visible for miles in the El Segundo and South Bay area and fire personnel were on scene shooting streams of water at the fire.
Media reports have said there was an explosion in the northern part of the city.
