Lymek Frazier, 31, is accused of taking payments from relatives and friends of youths locked up at the Crossroads Juvenile Center through cash apps, including over $21,000 in bribes in 48 "transactions" over just six months last year, the New York City Department of Investigation announced.
A 28-year-old man died at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort on Thursday, marking the third death at the Florida park and second at that resort in the past 10 days. An initial investigation determined the bicyclist, a man in his 80s, was traveling southbound in the bicycle lane when he moved into the traffic lanes and was hit by a 2022 Mercedes-Benz, police said. The bicyclist suffered a major head injury in the crash, police said, adding that he was wearing a helmet at the time. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
The 15th floor of a parking garage in Westchester County appeared to suddenly collapse on Wednesday, damaging a number of cars parked on the floor below. No injuries were reported in the collapse at the White Plains garage near South Broadway. Primary searches were negative, according to the Yonkers fire department. A photo from the scene shows an upper floor leaning diagonally onto the floor below it, crushing vehicles in the process.
A teenage boy is in a critical condition after he was shot in north London. The Metropolitan Police was called to High Road, in Arnos Grove, at 17:40 BST on Thursday to reports of a shooting. A 17-year-old was treated at the scene for serious injuries and taken to hospital.

Los Angeles County launched an investigation Tuesday to determine whether a record $4-billion sex abuse settlement approved this year may be tainted. County supervisors unanimously a motion to have county lawyers investigate possible misconduct by "legal representatives" involved in the recent flood of sex abuse litigation against L.A. County. The county auditor's office also will set up a hotline dedicated to tips from the public related to the lawsuits, according to the motion.
One person died and another was injured after they were struck by a garbage truck in Lowell early Tuesday morning, according to officials. The garbage truck backed into a man shortly before 5 a.m. on Spring Street, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office and Lowell Police Department said in a joint statement. The man died at the scene, officials said.
Witnesses said the flight appeared normal until Baumgartner's paraglider started spinning to the ground, crashing near a hotel swimming pool. Prosecutor Raffaele Iannella said the investigation found no technical issues with Baumgartner's motorized paraglider. He fell into a spiral, and he could not get out. He was unable to do the maneuver that he should have done to exit [the fall], Iannella told the Associated Press.

Katelyn Tully, 32, began her career in law enforcement at the Haverhill Police Department, and served on both the Police and Military Honor Guards, the obituary says. Tully, a decorated army veteran who served in Afghanistan for six months, will be buried with military honors. A news release said inmates Christian M. Dumas, 24, and Stephen J. Archer II, 38, were attacking inmate Brenton G. Kinzebaw. Brenten G. Kinzenbaw (COURTESY CDCR) Staff immediately responded, utilizing chemical agents to quell the attack, the release explains. Officers immediately restrained Dumas and Archer and removed them from the yard, initiated life-saving measures on Kinzenbaw and activated 911. Kinzenbaw was transported to the institution's triage and treatment area where he was pronounced deceased by prison medical staff at 8:15 a.m.
