Tina Chummun, a 50-year-old with multiple degrees, has applied for 4,000 jobs in two years but remains unemployed and in debt. She attributes her struggles to age discrimination in the job market. After losing her job in April 2024, she has worked part-time but cannot cover her bills. Despite her desire to work full-time in digital marketing, she has only received one interview. Her house is for sale as she plans to move to London for better job prospects, fearing she may have to live with her mother if unsuccessful.
