Timothy Taylor, after killing his wife, expressed remorse but decided to murder his ex-wife, Tishawn Folkes-Taylor. He stabbed her to death in front of her children, just weeks after violently attacking his current wife. At sentencing, details emerged about his animosity towards Folkes-Taylor, which he claimed justified the murder. District Attorney Robert Carney praised Folkes-Taylor for heroically protecting her children during the attack, where she was stabbed over 22 times. Taylor currently faces a separate murder indictment for his first wife and has been sentenced to over twenty years in prison.
After he had killed his then current wife, he felt bad, and he knew he had to come to Schenectady to kill his former wife because he harbored so much animosity toward her.
People should know that Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, while facing down her killer and knowing his intent, made sure to protect her children.
