His beloved wife of 61 years, Lynne, his daughters, Liz and Mary, and other family members were with him as he passed. The former Vice President died due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease. For decades, Dick Cheney served our nation, including as White House Chief of Staff, Wyoming's Congressman, Secretary of Defense, and Vice President of the United States."

Richard B. Cheney died on November 3, 2025, at 84 years old from complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease. He was accompanied by his wife Lynne, daughters Liz and Mary, and other family members. Cheney was born Jan. 30, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and raised in Casper, Wyoming. He entered federal service in 1969 under President Nixon, became White House chief of staff under President Ford at age 34, won a House seat from Wyoming in 1978, served as Secretary of Defense directing the invasions of Panama and the Gulf War, and served as Vice President after the 2000 election. He taught family values, love of country, and fly fishing.
