Trump, contradicting the California GOP, opposes early and mail-in voting in Prop. 50 election
"No mail-in or 'Early' Voting, Yes to Voter ID! Watch how totally dishonest the California Prop Vote is! Millions of Ballots being 'shipped,' GET SMART REPUBLICANS, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!"
"Ramblings of an old man that knows he's going to LOSE."
President Trump urged California voters not to cast mail-in ballots or vote early in the Nov. 4 special election on Proposition 50, repeating his false claim that President Biden's 2020 victory was rigged and warning the mid-decade redistricting vote would be rigged as well. He posted on Truth Social urging voter ID and warning millions of ballots were being 'shipped.' State Republican leaders urged GOP voters to turn out because Democrats held a commanding edge in mail-in returns. Proposition 50, proposed by Gov. Gavin Newsom and Democrats, would redraw California's congressional districts to boost Democratic U.S. House representation. Prominent Democrats including former President Obama support the measure.
