A transition to a venture partner role at GV will bring less focus on new deals. After a decade at GV, there is a desire to work within the current portfolio. Life changes, including the birth of a second child and a return to London, have influenced this decision. Reflecting on the past and the impact of the pandemic, the timing for this step back feels appropriate. Aspirations for the future remain, with plans for new projects to be shared later.
In the new year, I'm transitioning from my general partner role at GV into a venture partner role, focusing less on new deals and more on existing portfolio projects.
A few months ago, my wife and I welcomed our second child into this world and returned to London, where we lived almost a decade ago.
This transition comes after a decade at GV, where there's never really a natural time to take a step back, but this felt as close as possible.
As I embrace this change, I have three straightforward goals I aspire to achieve in my new role and personal life.
