The Four Year Decorating Evolution of our Living Room - The Inspired Room
Briefly

Over the past four years, the living room has transformed by incorporating intentional design decisions and evolving family needs. New furniture recently arrived, complementing a striped couch previously acquired. The journey exemplifies slow decorating, focusing on existing pieces while adapting to the family's lifestyle. Initial furnishings were inherited with the home, allowing time for assessment before purchasing new items. Creating a cozy atmosphere became paramount, emphasizing the importance of understanding daily rhythms and ensuring the space works harmoniously throughout different seasons.
Changes are not always about making a room 'better' or more 'perfect', but making it work for your family and enjoying it in every season.
Being intentional, taking your time and knowing the thought process behind all design decisions will lead to a room you really love now and in the future.
Slow decorating, using what you have and considering the needs of a family has always been a part of my design process.
Buying the home furnished helped us to simplify our move, downsize, and preserve our creative energy for a time when we were ready to make changes.
