AI coding assistants have changed the way developers work by automating repetitive tasks, providing intelligent code suggestions, and streamlining workflows. If you've used an AI coding assistant before, you've probably experienced vibe coding. You start with an idea, throw a high-level prompt at the AI, and wait to see what comes out. Claude Code, announced in February and widely launched in May, is Anthropic's terminal-based coding agent that can perform multi-step coding tasks across an existing code base. The tool competes with OpenAI's Codex feature, a coding agent that generates production-ready code in isolated containers,
