Ashland and Cherryland are two unincorporated communities wedged between San Leandro and Hayward. They want to be recognized as communities, as Ashland and Cherryland.

"It was one of the hits of the festival," said Gary Kout, AIFF board president. "It was the first film to sell out, ultimately selling out all four showings."
