Former FBI Director James Comey has pleaded not guilty to charges of false statements and obstructing a congressional proceeding. BRENTWOOD A Brentwood man has been sentenced to 8 1/2 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography and possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle, authorities said. U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr., handed 44-year-old Michael Patterson 103 months behind bars, after Patterson pleaded guilty to the crimes in May, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Craig Missakian of the Northern District of California.
