Text description provided by the architects. Located in Qingshan Village, Yuhang District of Hangzhou, Qingshan School occupies the site of an abandoned primary school. The original buildings, severely deteriorated and spatially outdated, could not be reused and were therefore demolished. Respecting the site's footprint and scale, MOMENTUM Architects undertook a complete reconstruction to reestablish a school for the community. The aim was to create a student-centered environment that reconnects learning with rural life, while preserving the cultural memory embedded in the land.

Ari Aster's new film Eddington positions itself as both an exaggeration and a riposte of the collective skittishness and amnesia about 2020. It keeps its focus on a sliver of the state in which Aster grew up, showing the foolish exploits of Sheriff Joe Cross running for mayor.

As I started to photograph the well, Mustapha stepped forward, instinctively leaning in to look inside. That spontaneous gesture transformed the scene completely.

Ellie and Dina ride through the remnants of Seattle, noticing remnants of pride culture from years past, reflecting on lost history and identity for queer people in a dystopian world.

One interesting thing about Hiroshima is that the city has been totally rebuilt. Through one lens, it's an ordinary modern city where you can duck into a sushi restaurant on a random block and not know that you are in a place where this really terrible thing has happened. But then there's the Peace Memorial Park, a kind of open-air museum where you can dwell on the reality of nuclear war.

"The photographs show Melanie doing what any 18-year-old girl would do; dressing up, partying on the weekends, sharing pints at the local pub, and laughing with her girlfriends."

I recorded this track in one go, without even planning to make a track. It wasn't intentional, but a natural reflection of a homesickness that's hard to name.

The film artfully explores the interplay of guilt, shame, and yearning across generations, revealing how deeply repressed traumas manifest in the lives of descendants.

"I wanted the discs to work with the land's own intricacies, amplifying and negotiating with the space they inhabit, rather than asserting their presence over it."
