after a wild GW23 that saw Manchester United stun Arsenal, Manchester City bench both Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, Bournemouth shock Liverpool, and struggling West Ham hit three past Sunderland, the long-awaited fixture swings are here, writes Fantasy Premier League expert Blake Hurst. This is the turning point FPL managers have been anticipating: those with a solid transfer plan can jump ahead, while others panic as form and fixtures flip overnight.
Arsenal have scored 19 goals from corners in all competitions this season. Much of the credit for that goes to their primary corner takers, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka. Taking corners from the left with his right foot, Rice has created eight goals, compared with five from Saka, who offers left-foot deliveries from the right. The vast majority of Arsenal's corners (81%) are in-swinging, and statistically more likely to lead to a goal than out-swinging deliveries.
What Declan Rice said to Arsenal coach The exact conversation is uncertain, but lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman has suggested that Rice initiated the confrontation with a just go, before Gabriel stepped in to diffuse the situation and urged Stuivenberg: Stop, please stop, please stop. Freeman added that Rice reacted with: Oh for f***'s sake, followed by: He doesn't know what the hell he is on about?.
Argentinian striker Lautaro Martínez appears in EA FC 26's Team of the Week for the second time this season in TOTW 17, securing himself a 90 OVR card with 90 Shooting. The Internazionale captain scored and assisted one time each against FC Bologna to contribute to his club's 3-1 victory, fortifying its position at the top of Serie A and avenging its loss to Bologna in the Italian Supercup from December.
Playing the full 90 minutes, the English international was nothing but a beast at midfield. Unfortunately for Bayern, he was everywhere at the same time, and always seemed to be fighting for the ball. Jurrien Timber deserves a mention, no doubt, but there's no denying Rice's monster efforts to not only keep Arsenal in the game, but keep them on the winning track. He was the calmest on the pitch for Arsenal, and always stepped up to kill Bayern's counters whenever the Gunners lost possession.
For me, that type of midfielder, I think Rodri was the pinnacle when he won the Ballon d'Or. He hasn't quite hit those levels [since] because of injury. I think he's slightly different to Rice. I think Rice has a little bit more going forward. Rice can play as a No.6 at a really top-class level but I think you're taking a little bit away from what he can offer when you get him to stay there.
I just spoke to him, he's not positive about it, he's got a brace on. We'll have to wait and see from the doctors. We haven't had him since the start of the season for one reason or the other, the shoulder twice and then this injury. We'll find solutions, but obviously he's our captain and is a player that gives us a completely different dimension with the things that he can do, especially in attacking.
