It's true that laundry rooms aren't necessarily known for being massive, but the one in Melissa Meares' (@melissaashleymeares) house had an especially tricky narrow setup; it's 8×5 feet. "The layout of the laundry room is very awkward with the water heater in the middle," Melissa adds. She and her husband, Kyle, hid the water heater in the back corner and gave the wire shelves in the room a glow-up by adding cabinetry.

In an era where accent walls are still very much in the trendsphere, the newest DIY look to hit Instagram is one that left me in awe. The pattern resembles something that would be featured in a luxe wallpaper, but knowing you can craft it yourself for less is a significant win. Conceptualized by interior designer Jewel Marlowe, which she coined as "Jewelachite," it's about to become your latest paint obsession.

"I then did a layer of the base color again to help seal the paint and to help with bleeding," Katherine explains. "Once that dried, I painted every other stripe Palm Leaf by Sherwin Williams ... It's a somewhat tedious project making sure your lines are straight and waiting for paint to dry, but other than that, it's a pretty beginner-friendly project."

Garnier also calls limewash "as DIY-friendly as it gets." It's traditionally applied to porous and absorbent surfaces, such as drywall, plaster, stucco, cement, brick, and concrete. She praises the "beautiful tonal variations" in a limewash texture, saying, "When the lime begins to dry, it just starts blooming, giving you the highs and the lows of the colors." (N.B.
