Winter storm warning issued for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area from Saturday to Monday

The NWS Reno NV adds to expect, Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet above 7000 feet with 4 to 10 inches at lake level. Ridgetop winds gusting to over 100 mph at times. Wind gusts of 40 mph and wave heights of 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact weekend travel in and across the Sierra.
