BROOKLYN, NY - Brooklyn straphangers, heads up: G train weekend service changes loom for 2026 signal upgrades that could disrupt your commute. Service will end between Bedford-Nostrand Aves. and Church Ave. on select weekends in 2026, from 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the MTA announced. The Crosstown Line's original signals, installed over 90 years ago, are well past their useful life, causing frequent delays for 160,000 daily passengers, NYC Transit says.
