The proposed two-stage gondola will start in the base area, stop at the Merry-Go-Round restaurant, and continue to Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, rising 2,700 vertical feet. This will significantly enhance uphill capacity out of the base area and provide skiing options on the upper mountain when the lower mountain is bare or melted out.
Anyone who visits Japan, whether it's just for sightseeing or for skiing/snowboarding, needs to do some karaoke. In the U.S., most karaoke is done in a bar with everyone watching. In Japan, most karaoke is done in private rooms for just you and your friends. It really takes things to the next level. Skiers and snowboarders at Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort in Japan don't need to go far out of their way to get some karaoke in.
Conditions ReportContinuing on my journey through Visit Idaho's Gem Line, I headed from Sandpoint, Idaho, to Kellogg, Idaho, for another powder day at Silver Mountain. I had skied at Silver last season and had a great time lapping pristine corduroy during a stint of high pressure. I was excited to return with plenty of recent fresh snow to explore some of the steeper, off-piste terrain at Silver.
