Peyton Watson is set to return for the Denver Nuggets after a six-week absence due to a hamstring strain.
Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi will be available for selection to face LAFC on Saturday night in the Major League Soccer season opener after traveling with the team to California. The forward's participation in the match was originally in doubt after suffering a muscle strain in his left hamstring during the preseason game against Barcelona SC on Feb. 7. Though Messi started the friendly, he left the pitch in the 58th minute to watch from the sidelines.
Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr has sustained a right hamstring strain and will miss approximately two weeks, the team announced Thursday. Sarr, one of three players averaging at least 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game this season, will miss Friday's Rising Stars game. He did not play in the Wizards' 138-113 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday with what the team called right hamstring tightness.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will not play in Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, a source told ESPN's John Keim and Jeremy Fowler. Daniels is suffering from a low-grade right hamstring strain, a source told ESPN. It is not considered a long-term injury, but the Commanders don't want him to tweak it, a source said. Marcus Mariota will start against the Chiefs.
