There's no hiding that it's been a disappointing first season at Chelsea for Liam Delap, and I'm told five clubs are now keeping an eye on his situation. At this stage, a loan in the summer is more likely than a permanent sale, but some sources I've spoken to are already not ruling out the latter for this 30m flop signing from Ipswich Town, as first reported here for the Daily Briefing.

AFC Wimbledon have signed former Liverpool and Preston North End forward Layton Stewart on loan from Swiss Super League side FC Thun until the end of the season.

Wealdstone have signed MK Dons defender Charlie Waller on a short-term loan deal. The 20-year-old spent December on loan with Rochdale, making three appearances. Waller has played 11 times for MK Dons' first team including eight in League Two last season. He also had a loan spell last term with Sutton United back in the National League playing 22 times for the club and scoring once.

Jonah Kusi-Asare is the kind of striker every club tries to find nowadays. Huge, lanky but deceptively quick, smooth on the ball and possessing the technical skills of a much smaller players, the young Swede drew the attention of many big clubs at AIK Fotboll before Bayern Munich snatched him up for a big fee. Kusi-Asare struggled to impose himself in Bayerns youth teams, occasionally demonstrating his immense potential but too often going unnoticed during matches.

Villa are insisting Elliott is part of their plans, but it is clear things are not going well. He did join with an obligation built in, but in theory, that could possibly see him return.
