I take a lot of pride in it because at the start of the season I wasn't sure I would end the season there, I thought there may have to be adjustment at some point because from lack of trust or whatever. I'm just proud of myself for making it all the way through the year and actually achieving a goal that I kind of set out to do, and that's being a Major League shortstop, and say I did it and I'm good at it.

"He's like a mentor of mine. He's like a dad sometimes. He's like a coach sometimes. He puts on a lot of hats when it comes to me," Roberts said. "I love him. He knows I love him. We're in this thing together. "You know, playing 162, especially with this group having so many talented guys, it's hard. Snell gave the Dodgers six shutout innings while allowing just two hits and two walks. He also struck out a season-high 11 batters. Other than that, Snell only allowed two singles and didn't allow them to advance.

Reliever Blake Treinen pitched a perfect eighth before Ryan Ritter broke up the no-hitter by lining Tanner Scott 's third pitch to left field for a double. The ball appeared catchable off the bat, but left fielder Alex Call turned the wrong way, costing him any chance to make a play.

"The more I think about it, Mookie is somebody I'm not going to hit lower in the order. I just feel you weigh the options, the alternatives and things like that, I’m going to continue to believe in him and trust that he’s the best option."
