Morning Joe is launching a visually focused daily newsletter, The Tea, Spilled, to engage viewers amid MSNBC's rebrand to MS NOW.
On Wednesday, NBC News began cutting 7%, or about 150 of its roughly 2,000-person staff, as it gears up to operate independently of its cable brethren. NBC News parent Comcast's NBCUniversal is set to spin off several of its cable networks, including MSNBC and CNBC, into a new company, Versant. It's the latest sign of cable's ongoing decline as viewing behavior shifts to streaming.
Trump said MSNBC sought the rebrand TO GET AWAY FROM THE STENCH OF THEIR FAKE NEWS PRODUCT. He also blasted Comcast CEO Brian Roberts and said the parent company is HOPELESSLY AND AIMLESSLY FLAILING IN THE WIND. SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH THEIR WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE OWNER, CONCAST, HEADED BY DOPEY BRIAN ROBERTS, HOPELESSLY AND AIMLESSLY FLAILING IN THE WIND IN AN ATTEMPT TO DISASSOCIATE ITSELF FROM THE GARBAGE THAT THEY CREATED!
Maybe someone whispered in the branding team's ear: "Put as much daylight as possible between the new brand and Comcast, by making the new name as ridiculous as can be. We want no part of the lefty network." Truthfully, I think Comcast is just another media conglomerate in the bag for . That's just my humble opinion, although there is some reporting around it.
