Originally released alongside the GameCube in November 2001, Luigi's Mansion sees Mario's cowardly brother exploring a haunted mansion he won in a contest he never entered. With the help of Professor E. Gadd and his vacuum-like Poltergust 3000, Luigi must work his way through the mansion's many rooms and capture all the ghosts that lurk within. Luigi's Mansion marks the sixth title to arrive on Switch Online's GameCube collection.
Mario & Wario is a puzzle-platform title from 1993 that was actually developed by Game Freak--before the studio developed Pokemon. Of note, the game reportedly has always featured English text, even though it didn't see the light of day in the US for over three decades. Mario & Wario does require mouse controls, according to Nintendo's video (seen below) posted on YouTube.
It's a new month, which means a new batch of (in this case, sort of baffling) additions to the classics catalog with Nintendo Switch Online. As they so often do, the new games available this month feature a mix of well-known games and others you may not have heard of. For October, one of the biggest surprises is a Mario game that will nonetheless be entirely new to most players.
Nintendo fans have analyzed blur images from a recent Nintendo video and believe they have identified five new Nintendo 64 games possibly coming to Nintendo Switch Online.
