Some 1,500 Palestinian students are set to take end-of-secondary-school exams organized by Gaza's Ministry of Education, the first since the beginning of the Israeli war.

"The arrests of Palestinian student activists, such as Mahmoud Khalil and Rumeysa Ozturk, represent a troubling shift in immigration enforcement tied to ideological policies."

The situation in Gaza is getting hard day by day, they are targeting many crowded and random places," said Meera, an industrial engineering student who has been accepted to the University of Regina on scholarships to pursue a master's degree.
