The British Museum's western wing will receive a significant redesign to improve visitor experience and collection space.
"We'd like to really push forward a park-once concept, where people are encouraged to come to the park, park their car and move through the park and hit multiple destinations without moving their car," said assistant city manager Sean Crumby at a meeting of the Great Park Board on Tuesday.
When the museum reopened in 2006 after Olivier Brochet's successful renovation, the maximum number of people anticipated was about 600,000 annually.
'Our main question is: If people have to wait, how do we make that more of an experience?' says Toler, highlighting the museum’s innovative approach to enhance visitor satisfaction.
