A three-alarm fire in San Jose on Gavota Avenue at 2:35 p.m. displaced six adults and five animals from two homes. In total, two adults and two dogs were displaced from the home where the fire began. An adjacent residence also had four adults and five animals displaced due to blaze exposure. Red Cross support was provided for residents of one home, while the others declined assistance. Firefighters faced challenges extinguishing the blaze due to complex building construction. The cause of the fire remains undetermined but is not suspicious.
