Canadian Druze community asks for humanitarian corridor into Jordan amid violence in Syria | CBC News
Briefly

More than 100 members of Canada’s Druze community protested on Parliament Hill, urging government action in response to a humanitarian crisis in Syria. They reported that fighting in the Suwayda region has intensified following Syrian government intervention, leading to significant casualties among Druze individuals. Protesters asserted that there is an intention to destroy the Druze community in Syria and called for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to aid those in need. The Syrian government has denied involvement in civilian killings, claiming no responsibility for the bloodshed.
