Benicia's local businesses thrive with support from the community
""Everyone knew Double Rainbow in downtown Benicia here. And so that was a way for us to be involved with the community," said Brewster."
""And we had the opportunity to take it over. So we made that choice to convert the ice cream store into a frozen yogurt store," said Brewster."
""...we decided that a percentage of all sales goes back to local children's charities. And so, we've just recently crossed over $30,000 donated..." said Brewster."
""Majestic is a part of people's lives. They wake up. They come to the store, say hi to the people they know," said Brewster."
Brandon Brewster and his family moved to Benicia in 2015 and quickly became involved in the community by taking over the Double Rainbow Cafe. He later transformed a closing ice cream shop into a frozen yogurt store, Rainbow Froyo, which donates a percentage of sales to local children's charities. Brewster also acquired a local coffee shop, Majestic, preserving its community role and employees. His businesses emphasize the importance of local connections and support for the community.
