Fleet Primary School's annual summer fair is impacted by a burglary over the weekend, where thieves stole nearly all donated items meant for the event. Treasurer Ailbhe Burke expressed the community's heartbreak over the loss, emphasizing the emotional toll and practical consequences of the theft. The fair is essential for fundraising, covering extra activities not supported by school funding. In response, the Parent Association is launching a fundraiser and will conduct the fair cash-free to ensure community support and minimize risks. The focus remains on maintaining community spirit and ensuring a joyful experience for the children despite the setback.
The theft left our community heartbroken, as we deeply value the prizes and refreshments we've painstakingly gathered for our annual summer fair, a celebration for our children.
The summer fair isn't just a fun event; it’s a celebration of our local community. Together, the small donations have a huge impact on our children's experiences.
