New LEGO Campus Features World's Largest LEGO Library & An Employee-Driven Design - Yanko Design
Briefly

CEBRA is designing the LEGO Innovation Campus in Billund, Denmark, aimed at fostering creativity and sustainability. Covering 50,000 sqm, it houses over 1,700 staff, with a special focus on designers. The design incorporates modular elements reflective of LEGO's core principles, highlighted by the 'PlayWay' central pathway promoting interaction and communication. Green spaces and natural light enhance the work environment's sustainability. Employee involvement in the design process, using LEGO bricks to create workspace prototypes, ensures the campus aligns with user needs, echoing LEGO's values of creativity and collaboration.
‘The design process involved employees actively, allowing them to use LEGO bricks to create their ideal workspaces, ensuring the final layout met their needs and desires.’
‘With six interlocking modules and a central artery called the PlayWay, the campus design encourages communication and idea-sharing among staff through its modularity and playful nature.’
