On April 15, the Easter Bunny teamed up with the FDNY to spread joy to child cancer patients and their families at the Ronald McDonald House in Manhattan. Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker and firefighters from Engine Company 44 and Ladder Company 13 participated in the visit, delivering smiles and hope. Firefighter Jason Powell shared the heartwarming impact of their visits, noting how it allows children to momentarily forget their health struggles and simply enjoy the magic of the Easter Bunny's presence.
Every year we come here. Every year we see the same faces we saw last year, and it's encouraging to see the same people and know that they're getting better... They're just enjoying today.
It's heartwarming to know that they're not worried about anything but the Easter Bunny and firefighters.
