On Friday, two thieves violently robbed a jewelry store in Staten Island, assaulting a 70-year-old female employee. The suspects entered Sunrise Fine Jewelry in the early afternoon and attacked the worker, leaving her hospitalized with a head injury. They stole jewelry worth about $5,000, stuffing it into a bag before exiting the store. The victim was taken to Staten Island University North Campus hospital but is currently stable. Police are investigating the incident and have asked the public for help in identifying the criminals, who were seen wearing all-black outfits and one wearing latex gloves.
