Terence Crosbie, 39, was found guilty by a jury of raping a woman at a downtown Boston hotel and sentenced to seven to nine years in state prison. The conviction followed a second trial after a mistrial in June. Crosbie has already served nearly 20 months in jail since his March 2024 arrest; that time will be credited toward his sentence. The victim, then 28 and an attorney, said she had consensual sex with another man, fell asleep in separate beds, and later awoke to Crosbie raping her. Evidence included hotel key card records, DNA, video footage, surveillance cameras, and medical records. The victim described lasting impacts on her work, health, and relationships during sentencing.
