I'm impressed by how modern these Switch 2 GameCube titles feel
Briefly

On the launch day of the Switch 2, Nintendo re-releases three iconic GameCube titles—The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, and Soulcalibur II—exclusively for Switch 2 users. These games are free for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members and have never looked better, even compared to previous classic titles. Nintendo plans to expand its GameCube offerings shortly with fan-favorite titles including Super Mario Strikers and Pokémon Colosseum, making the launch particularly exciting for nostalgia fans.
The initial three games are easily some of the best the GameCube has to offer, and in the case of F-Zero GX, it’s the first time it’s been re-released since its debut in 2003.
Playing these GameCube titles always felt like stepping back into a different era. However, these games look fantastic on the big screen and zip along at an impressive frame rate.
Nintendo has promised many more GameCube titles in the months to come, including Super Mario Strikers, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokémon Colosseum, and more.
The re-release of three absolutely stellar GameCube titles on Nintendo's new console is a noteworthy event if you're particularly nostalgic for Nintendo's much-missed purple cube.
